[C] One could tell by [F] how he walked, that he'd [C] drunk more than his [G] share.  He [F] stumbled on [C] until he could no [F] longer keep his [G] feet, then he [C] staggered off [F] into the grass to [G] sleep beside the [C] street.\r\n[Chorus] - - - [F] Ring ding diddle iddle I dee oh, [C] ring di diddle I [G] Oh - - - He [C] staggered off [F] into the grass to [G] sleep beside the [C] street.<\/span>\r\n \r\n[Verse] - - - [C] About that time two [F] young and lovely [G] lassies happened [C] by.  [C] One says to the [F] other with a [C] twinkle in her [G] eye.  [F]  \"See yon sleeping [C] Scotsman, so [F] strong and handsome [G] built. [C] \"Let's leave a present [F] for our friend [C] before we move [G] along.\"   [F] As-a-gift they left a [C] blue silk ribbon, [F] tied into a [G] bow,   [C] About the bonnie [F] star the Scots [G] kilt lifting had [C] shown.\r\n[Chorus] - - -  [F] Ring ding diddle iddle I dee oh, [C] ring di diddle I [G] Oh - - - [C] Around the bonnie [F] star the Scots [G] kilt lifting [C] had shown.<\/span>\r\n \r\n[Verse] - - -   The [C] Scotsman woke to [F] nature's call and [G] stumbled towards a [C] tree.  [C] Behind a bush he [F] lifts his kilt and [C] gawks at what he [G] sees.   And [F] in a voice of [C] wonderment, at [F] what's before his [G] eyes, \"My [C] friend I dunno [F] where you've been but I [G] see you've won first [C] prize.\" \r\n[Chorus] - - - [F] Ring ding diddle iddle I dee oh, [C] ring di diddle I [G] Oh - - - \"My [C] friend I dunno [F] where you've been but I [G] see you've won first [C] prize.\"  (go to a high note at end)\r\n\r\nOCCASIONALLY CONTINUE WITH THE NEXT VERSES\r\n\r\n<\/span>Our Scottish friend still clad in kilt continued down the street. He hadn'\u0092t gone 10 yards or more when a girl he chanced to meet.  She said,\u0094  \"I've heard what\u0092's under there.  Please tell me if it\u0092s so.\"  \u0094  He said,\u0094  \"Why don\u0092t you reach right up, and give yourself a go?\u0094\"\r\n\r\nShe stuck her hand right up his kilt, and Great was her surprise. She looked up at the Scotsman who had twinkles in his eyes.  She cried,\u0094 \"Why Sir that\u0092s gruesome!\u0094\"  And then she heard him roar.  <\/span> He said, \"\u0094If you reach up once again, you'll find it\u0092 grew some more!\u0094\"\r\n\r\nThe Scotman\u0092's Hand's were numb with drink.   His head was spinning \u0091round. He couldn\u0092't get that ribbon off, so homeward he was bound.  His wife she caught a flash of blue as he took off all his clothes;<\/span> And it piqued her curiosity as well you might suppose.\r\n\r\nWell then she asked that Scotsman where he\u0092'd been, and just what he\u0092'd done.  He said there was a contest at the pub and he\u0092 had won.   She cried,\u0094 \"You did not show that thing in front of all those men?<\/span>\u0094\"   \"\u0093I did not show it all my love, just enough so I would win.\u0094\"   (go to a high note at end)\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n
